Community Gardens
Have any of you had any experince with community gardens? I have suggested to my church group that we should try and start a community veggie garden to send all of the produce we raise directly to our local soup kitchen, Whats everyone think, any suggestions? We are in the process of obtaining land now for this purpose

Hi Allen,
I started a vegetable garden a the school where I teach. In a way that is similar to starting one with your church group. Only, your situation is better because you will have adults who want to help with the garden. It's a fun project and a labor of love. Im not sure what kind of advice you are looking for but Id be happy if any of my experience can be useful to you. Are you doing and fundraising or getting donations of materials? Do you have a group of people who are committed to helping you start and run the garden?
