Hi Jane, I think I have an ID on the lily. I found a guy to talk to just yesterday, that works at a nursery where we think this plant may have come from. He looked at a pic and said it's "Red Magic" and that they did sell it about seven years back. The scapes are between 28 to 30 inches tall and the blossom is 4.5 to 5 inches. The description you give is the closest I have been able to come before this. Thanks for taking the time to help!
