That sounds like a great plan. I dug up a big patch of lawn last year to put in a new garden bed. I threw it all underneath the deck in my backyard. It's all composted now and I'm going to break it up and use the soil in my gardens.

what to do with grass turf?
Hi all,
I am making a serious gardening effort this year by removing large parts of my front and back lawn to expand my perennial and veggie garden. I live in the City of Toronto, east end-- just east of the TO/East York border. This means a long, narrow property with shared driveway and no lane way or alley.
My dilemma is what to do with all of this lawn that I am removing? Right now it is sitting at the end of our shared driveway in a pile and covered with a tarp. The pile contains the lawn… Continue
