Haha....I meant to type "go dry" and "grow dry"........I know they sit in water ;) They're just so low maintenance I always forget about mine and forget to check the water every now and then. I've killed several!

Mine only turn yellow when they run out of water! Did they grow dry?
That sounds like a great plan. I dug up a big patch of lawn last year to put in a new garden bed. I threw it all underneath the deck in my backyard. It's all composted now and I'm going to break it up and use the soil in my gardens.
