James Galway English climbing rose... {David Austin*}



A recent purchase to plant near the arbor... {Perfume Delight is planted on the opposite side} I'm researching ideas on garden designs with an arbor, I'm thinking I'd love a few medium sized permanent bed on both sides... in the future, of course! This rose is approx. 5 1/2'- 6' high and will loose some of it's height once planted and established but the tag says it's a vigorous climber, I certainly hope so!!!! :) Love those blooms and what a… Continue

Header bed ~ August update



Silver Frost Butterfly Bush {1st year} with a recently purchased coneflower waiting to be planted. At the base of the trellis, my blue delphiniums appear to be greening up for a fall bloom! :)

Pee Gee Hydrangea Tree ~ new plant to my existing garden.

I loved adding this Pee Gee Hydrangea tree to our garden! I've been desiring some of those gorgeous blooms, so I did a bit of research online regarding types of hydrangeas, gardening zones, and hardiness; it was through that research that I decided to go with the Pee Gee hydrangea ~ I just wasn't exactly thinking "tree" vs "shrub" until I spotted this beauty, smelling so fragrant in the mid-August sun and the butterflies and moths love it just as much as I do!
